We are aware of a report from Africa Uncensored alleging unethical debt collection practices at Tala. Our exhaustive internal investigation has found no evidence to support the allegations captured in the report. We understand the sensitive nature of debt collection and are dedicated to continuous improvement and seeking ways to support customers facing financial difficulties.

We understand the concerns raised and want to reassure our customers that we take these allegations very seriously. We empathize with any distress caused by the debt collection process and are committed to ensuring that all our customer interactions are conducted fairly, with dignity, respect and empathy. Tala is committed to responsible lending and transparency, with policies that protect consumer rights and ensure ethical debt collection.
