These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to the distribution of Android phones by Tala (“the Company”) to customers in Kenya. By accepting and collecting or receiving a phone under this program, you agree to the following:
This program is available only to existing Tala Kenya customers who have been identified by Tala as eligible for this testing initiative.
Eligibility is by Tala’s invitation only and does not represent a prize, competition, or reward. Customers selected are being offered this incentive strictly as part of a service test.
Eligibility is non-transferable. The phone cannot be claimed on behalf of another individual.
Customers will be required to receive a phone that is delivered to you by a G4S delivery agent or collect their phone through G4S designated collection points
Customers must avail themselves in person, with a valid original National ID, to receive the phone.
Customers must show the message notifying them that the phone is available for receipt or collectionCollection must be done within 30 calendar days from the date of notification. Failure to collect within this period will cause forfeiture of the phone.
The phone is provided to enable access to the Tala App and related financial services.
The phone remains the property of the customer upon successful collection. Tala is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or misuse of the phone after receipt.
Tala reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this program at any time without prior notice.
By participating, customers agree that Tala and its partners (including G4S) may use their information solely for the purpose of phone distribution and service provision.
These T&Cs shall be governed by the laws of Kenya.
The use of this phone and the pre-installed Tala App is governed by Tala’s existing customer Privacy Policy. This means that Tala will not track your activity outside the use of the Tala App and your existing privacy protection under Tala’s policies remain in effect.
By using this phone, you acknowledge and agree to Tala’s Privacy Policy.
The location details shared by customers for purposes of this program will be collected and used solely to facilitate the delivery of the incentive phones. Tala will not use this information for any other purpose, nor will it be shared with third parties outside of what is necessary to complete the delivery.
Phones provided under this program will come with the Tala app pre-installed. The phone is intended to support continued access to Tala services via the app.
Samsung phones have a 24-month warranty and the warranty can be claimed at any Samsung Service Centre countrywide.
By accepting or collecting the phone delivered by Tala, the recipient is deemed to have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. A copy of these Terms & Conditions will also be provided to the recipient via SMS (with a link to the full document). The recipient may additionally be requested to sign a copy of the Ts & Cs issued by G4S during delivery. In all cases, acceptance or collection of the phone and/or signing the delivery acknowledgment form shall constitute binding agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
This program is exclusively for existing Tala Kenya customers who have been invited by Tala to participate in this testing initiative. Eligibility is by invitation only and is non-transferable.
You can receive your phone via a G4S delivery agent or collect it from designated G4S collection points. You must be present in person with a valid original National ID and show the notification message that your phone is ready for receipt or collection.
Collection must be completed within 30 calendar days from the date of notification. Failure to collect within this period will result in forfeiture of the phone.
Yes, the phone becomes your property upon successful collection. Tala is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or misuse of the phone after you receive it.
