The CBK has worked closely with Tala and other applicants to review the applications, with a focus on business models, consumer protection, and the fitness and propriety of the shareholders, directors, and management. This licensing process was aimed at ensuring that customers’ interests are safeguarded and that providers adhere to the relevant laws.
