Q: What do you like about Tala?
I like the culture! Collaboration is on another level even though we are remote-first. That’s not to mention the emphasis on making a difference in society — first and foremost. This is not just another job, we’re making a difference in the world.
Q: How does your role help Tala’s mission?
My role in Product is to enable Tala to achieve its vision, by ensuring that the Tala products solve our customers’ needs. We anticipate market trends so that we are strategic with the Tala product and are proactive by anticipating customer needs.
Q: Did you always want to be a leader?
I have been fortunate to have always been a leader in every role I have taken. I tend to be in new verticals or areas of opportunity in my career journey. In the beginning, it looked daunting, but those are the experiences that have shaped me and my career.
Q: What should one do to be a great product manager?
Always give your best to everything that comes on your plate. We can make a difference in the world by each of us doing that. And be consistent; with consistency, the rest follows in time.
